Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower designs and distributes a range of low-floor and high-floor electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. This includes school buses, transit buses, buses, cargo buses, and shuttles.

EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle with a high degree of customization. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It has a range that is unbeatable, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems.

GreenPower Motor Company produces a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which is able to accommodate various body designs and upgrades for a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clean paper sheet, which allows for optimum placement of the battery and a lower center of gravity. This results in better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated trucks with a single wall structure inside and higher insulation than traditional trucks, enable seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer service life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior capacity for cargo and a world-class payload-to-range ratio for zero-emission passenger and cargo transportation.

GreenPower has joined forces with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to quickly move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.

We were capable of testing the EV9 on the local highway for a few hours, and found it easy to drive, and comfortable to drive over long distances. The ride is smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does a great job of suppressing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration is surprisingly quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one pedal driving" by simply taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 provides a large range and can be recharged in three hours or less at home, or using any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two operating modes: eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode is a great way to increase the power as well as cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and offer an unforgettable experience for those who haven't been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

GreenPower offers several other eVehicles that include a multi-purpose all-electric minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit vanpool, bus or a paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star busses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration aiming to electrify schools across the nation, GreenPower plans on ramping up production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA compliant. They will be eligible for federal transit grants.
